the downloads close before they are complete,tried dowloading the first hour before the next one still not working.help PLEASE

as I mentioned on several posts here ..
the show is becoming more and more popular and for some users this might cause download problems ..

I realized it's best to download the show late at night where ever you are and while it downloads to just watch some tv, meaning.. don't surf other places on the site or even other sites (kind of strange, I know but I haven't figured out yet what causes the php script to timeout which is the reason for the interrupted downloads)

if you try downloading again and it stops at the exact same place, please empty your browser cache before the next attempt ..

good luck and if nothing helps, subscribe to the podcast. the first hour downloads as part of the podcast without any problems whatsoever. That way you'll only have to download the guestmix ..

Those of you who are having problems downloading the show, try downloading in FireFox (if you have it installed). It doesn't seem to crash out like it does in IE.

Lars, the problem is more than likely your server running low on system resources since the problems have only started to occur recently, perhaps due to the exponential growth of the shown.

yeah . I can see that .. it started close to show #250 ..
more users - more database queries and more php action which might cause it to timeout ..

I also disabled direct links from outside sources (people had directly linked to the show downloads from their sites which didn't help at all) ..

I am currently experiencing download difficulties. I have used Firefox on a Mac and also on a PC, but the download just terminates. Usually, this happens after around 28 Mb, but this morning I managed to get to 45Mb. I am not experiencing this on any other site, so I guess it is server resources. I know that if a site is becoming overloaded the rate of download slows, but I don't know why the server would cut me off. Is there a way to keep everyone connected but slow the rate to compensate?
I guess also that most people download the show soon after your weekly emails, but for our schedule we need to be able to download within 2 days or so to get the file on our playout system.
Is there anything I can do as a user, to help?
