Have you ever been to an event in NEW YORK CITY, and heard a distinct voice traveling from one side of the room to the other. You had to think twice, but to only learn that these riffs were not part of the lyrics played by the DJ. The Sounds of AAAWWWWW could only come from one man, RICOH.
Discovered by WIL MILTON at his NEW YORK CITY DJ Residency TOGETHER in SPIRIT in 1999, lead the two to an artist development deal. To accompany this project, Wil brought in RODNEY CARTER to help co-write and arrange songs for RICOH.
WIL MILTON & RODNEY CARTER introduces to the world, BLAK INK MUSIC GROUP’S recording artist RICOH. RICOH, as many of you may know as (AAAWWWW), is releasing his debut single “AM I INVISBLE”. RICOH is a key icon in NEW YORK CITY nightlife, hosting the international BODY & SOUL NYC and THE GRAVITY(NYC) events, as well as touring around the globe. RICOH has been spreading his artistry throughout Japan, Hong Kong, and the U.K. Raised in JACKSONVILLE,FLORIDA, inspired to become a singer came from Peabo Bryson, Patti Labelle, Curtis Mayfield. RICOH has been blessed to sing, and has been singing since the age of 5.
“AM I INVISIBLE”, written by RICOH, co-written and arranged by the PRODUCTION DUO, WIL MILTON & RODNEY CARTER, comes tailored with simple hooks, relentless catchy melodies, which brings back the soul of dance music.
WIL lends his crafty production style with deep piano chords, a grooving bass, and a heart-felt counter synth line. RODNEY provides vocal backing to the chorus, giving you a Lenny Williams late night feeling. RICOH laces the song with his smooth-out vocal performance. This song reminds us of ALEXANDER O’ NEIL”S hit R&B Song ‘CRITICIZE”.
