Club V decided to shake things up last month - ditching the commercialisms and opting instead for some underground beats – and there’s no looking back now with more exciting line-ups this month.

The low ceiling and close knit dance floor are what make Club V the perfect nocturnal party pad. Add in to that the razor sonics and tasteful soundtracks now being offered, and Manchester’s famed electronic scene has another shining light.

Paul Maddox and Filthy Rich are Spektre, and came together through a mutual appreciation of minimal techno and a willingness to experiment. Oliver Huntemann has snapped up the pair’s early release for his Dance Electric label whilst the likes of Cocoon in Ibiza have hammered the pair’s tracks all summer. They use their combined experiences of minimalism to produce dark sinister sounds mixed in with twisted vocals and unnerving foundations, whilst remaining accessible to the crowds. Get ready for a live show which will put others to shame.

As if that wasn’t enough, Cahman, Andy Shaw, El Diablo, Chan & Smith and Sco’ Mo all get you in the mood with house and techno in its many beautiful guises, blending beats and melodies into floor slaying concoctions.

So for a fresh take on underground clubbing in an intimate, tight little disco, get yourself down to Format. This is a Manchester debut for Spektre, so get ready for a roadblock....
