On Friday 29th May Bodymusic make a well overdue return to Brixton for another journey into all things deep & soulful & descend upon south london ’s new no1 club venue, Dex Club in Brixton.
The Launch party plays host to one of dance music’s hottest flavour’s of the moment, Boddhi Satva, whos notoriety has been rising fast over the last few years & since signing to Vega records, and the launch of his own Offering recordings.
Boddhi will be joined by the Soul City Djs, Si Finnigan & Matty Archer, Who along side Bodymusic’s long serving residents, John Oudo & Pablo Martinez, will be keeping the party warmed up & primed for the peaktime.
Boddhi Satva was born and raised in The Central African Republic. He grew up listening to Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, R&B as well as Soukouss, Makossa and Ndombolo to name a few, and started making music in 1994. Boddhi Satva wrote, sung, and produced for some Hip-Hop groups that he and a couple of friends started. In 2000 he moved to Brussels . Boddhi was introduced to the music of Kevin Yost and Alton Miller while on a trip to London .
It was like a revelation to him in that it marked the beginning of his musical journey and it was at this time he decided that he wanted to play and produce House Music. After a short period of studying and working in the diamond industry, Boddhi began to dedicate more and more of his time in the studio, to work on the production of his album. Furthermore, in 2005 he met Alton Miller and invited him to collaborate on this Album Project. In 2006 he and Alton Miller have produced an EP which was released on the French Label ATAL. This project has received the support of DJs: Larry Heard, Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Hedge, DJ Deep, Patrick Forge, Aaron Ross, Rainer Trueby, Harley & Muscle and Mr. Scruff.
During the same year (2006) he's signed on Osunlade's Yoruba Records for an Album, initially introduced by the "Bria's Offering EP" which has been acclaimed and considered as a breakout hit. Boddhi Satva is a fast-rising star in the world of Dance Music and is destined to become a huge success because of his new and fresh sound.
