hello lars and constantin. i have been listening for many years(when you both were in hamburg and the shows were weekly). i am sorry that you feel that there is not enough audience participation. i check out lots of music - oriented message boards, and based on my completely "unscientific" research", i would say that the participation on this board is pretty consistent with that of other "global" message boards. i live in nyc and i see that you guys(lars in particular) post on unyc and deephousepage. for the most part, these are "regional" boards as opposed to "global" boards. that is why there is alot more and consistent audience participation.(i don't know if you are expecting this level of interaction). for example, if someone post something about some party at shelter(nyc) on unyc, i would expect to see alot of responses from local nyc people. i would not expect to see alot of responses from brazil or germany, etc not because these people are not interested, but because if you have never been to the shelter or nyc or the usa, it might be difficult to relate. i understand that you both are very busy people, but a suggestion that might improve audience participation might be to have the shows on a more consistent basis like they use to be 3 years ago. i used to have a sunday/monday ritual. by 5pm sunday nyc time, the tracklisting would be posted. by monday/tues 5pm the mp3s would be available. when lars moved to la and there would be a 5/6 month stretch between shows, i am sure that you confused alot of listeners. if the shows occured more regularly, you would have more consistent listeners./participation. for example, gilles peterson(who only archives his shows for a week!!!!!!!!!!!) has a pretty active "global" message board because you know that you can always find his show at the same time/place each week. this is just my opinion. i love the shows so keep up the good work. peace.
