Founding members of the group/duo:
Tebogo Skhosana (Benklawk) & Buti Messiase (Mabutana) both members are from Daveyton (Benoni).
Benklawk & Mabutana first met in 2017 while Mabutana was serving as a Deep House dj for various Deep House events and clubs, when on the flip side Benklawk was in his bedroom studio, making music which he would only share with close dj's like Kabelo The Pioneer and few other local dj's. Mabutana, was personally introduced to Benklawk through a mutual friend and former Go Deep Or Go Home Movement, member, Kabelo The Pioneer.
When introduced the two (Benklawk & Mabutana) immediately clicked because of the same music language they both spoke (Deep House/Soulful House).
The Musical Expression LP is an upcoming project by South African deep house and soulful house production duo Benklawk & Mabutana, set for official release on 23 October 2026 via their label Unmodified Music.'
