Growing up in PG County, Maryland nestled between Baltimore and Washington, DC shaped life for artist Baronhawk Poitier. Listening to local radio stations breakdancing with local friends and sorting through records while working at The Record Exchange heavily influenced his pursuit of a career as a producer and DJ. He was recognized alongside mentor Kris Klayton aka Karizma/ Kaytronik with a grant from the National Endowment of Arts for electronic music production. Baronhawk Poitier’s "Friction Faction" (Major Records NYC) released in 2025. Their first EP “Temperado Tornado” (Honey Soundsystem Records) released in 2020, followed by remixes for notable artists Roxy “The Contagion” (Nervous Records), Chrissy “Give U XTC” (Cool Ranch Records) and OutputMessage “Our Love”. Singles, “Set The Scene” (Soul Clap Records), “Phickle Pickle” (Future Times), “There’s N000 Time” (None/Such Records) and “One Missed Call From A Tenderhawk” (Trax Only Records) are available on all platforms.
