Phasen has been fascinated by electronic music production since my early teens, first inspired by Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, early Warp Records type stuff. In college he got into house music through artists like Terry Lee Brown Jr., The Timewriter, Klartraum, and Forteba. There is an immense amount of skill and definitely some luck that goes into anyone making a truly excellent piece of music, and pursuing all of that is insanely fun for him. Production and mixdown work are two of his passions.
When mixing he enjoys setting a mood with opening dubby tracks, slowly developing a dancier groove, and taking the sound somewhere more energetic and chaotic as time goes on. It is difficult for him to stay in one genre for too long - He wants to the music to go somewhere else constantly.
He lives in Florida with his wife and dog where he operates a small organic farm. They are having their first daughter this summer and Phasen hopes he can pass on a love of good music to her.
