I am an klub head from New York. I partied at the Paradise Garage in the 70's and 80's and Zanzibar in Newark, New Jersey. I grew up on the classics and hearing Tee Scott, Larry Levan, Shep Pettibone and Tony Humphries ride tracks in and out. Keep the spirit of true klub dance partying alive these kids know nothing about it. |

I'm a fellow PG discipline and miss Larry's God-given talent, the music, the vibe and most of all the "family" from back in the day. I went to Zanzibar's as well, just to hear Larry spin. The PG was CHURCH as far as I'm concerned. And you're right, kids today HAVE NO CLUE what good music is nor the spirit of family that existed amongst all of us "house" heads - didn't matter if you were Black, White, Hispanic, Gay or Straight - all you had to be was into the music. Music is the answer... Love is the message. Peace & Blessings.  |
